A Stanford University research team designs lightweight flexible robots
Recently,a research team from Stanford University published a paper in the journal Science Robotics saying that they have designed a lightweight and flexible robot inspired by the natural growth of vines, fungi and nerve cells.
It is said that the lightweight flexible robot only needs to be placed at the entrance of the ruins, and the control system at the front of the robot will be driven by compressed air to control the forward direction, like a vine extending to the gap.
Since there is a camera and corresponding sensors on the front of the robot,it can allow search and rescue personnel to obtain the situation inside the ruins, which also provides water for the wounded trapped in a small space,or put out fire in a closed area, opening a new door for the field of emergency search and rescue on site.door
